Craniosacral Therapy is appropriate for all ages, from newborn babies to seniors, and can be used through pregnancy.
Craniosacral Therapy works with the whole person and changes may occur in body, mind and spirit during and after sessions.
During your first session your therapist will take a written case history, listening with care to the reasons for your visit. This part of the session is important to gather information and establish a good understanding with your therapist.
Sessions typically last an hour, although this can vary.
You remain fully clothed and lay face up, but this position can be adapted to suit your particular needs.
The therapist makes light contact with your head, the base of your spine and other areas, allowing you to lie still and relax.
The therapist listens attentively to the subtle rhythmic movements within your system; these can be felt as gentle pulsations or waves flowing throughout your body. By acknowledging these natural rhythms, the practitioner supports your innate ability for self-healing.
No two sessions are the same, so after your session you may feel deeply relaxed, sleepy or energised.
